After landing at Kangerlussuaq, we embarked on a bus ride down the fjord to our awaiting ship, the Sylvia Earle. The journey started with zodiac rides and soon, the vast Arctic wilderness surrounded us. As we crossed below the Arctic Circle and into the Davis Strait, we marveled at the towering glaciers reflecting the golden evening light. Kangerlussuaq lies at the edge of a vast wilderness that includes the Greenland Ice Sheet.
